Özet:

Functional oxides such as ferroelectrics, multiferroics and other oxide-based materials have emerging trend in the electronic component industry where the miniaturization of the components and the systems become prominent with increasing performance. The key factor to obtain superior performance and robust functionalities from the electronic devices rely on not only the synthesis and integration of materials into the systems, but also the exploring characteristics of the materials and interfaces via several techniques spectroscopic and microscopic techniques in comparison with theoretical results. In this presentation, the experimental and theoretical studies on functional oxides will be discussed and presented upon the framework of the applications such as field-effect transistors, data storage, and smart material solutions.

Özgeçmiş:

Canhan Sen was born in İstanbul, Turkey. He received his B.Sc. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2007) from Kocaeli University, Turkey, and the M.Sc. degree in Materials Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Istanbul, Turkey in 2010. He had his Ph.D.  Sabancı University, Istanbul Turkey in 2018 from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He is co-founder of Teta Glass Technologies where he is still the R&D Coordinator of this company. His research interests are in the area of and smart glass films, ferroelectric-semiconductor interfaces, fabrication of functional oxides in the form of bulk and thin film.
