Course Objectives:

Teaching the basic principles of classical thermodynamics. Training the students to identify, learn formulas and solve engineering problems related to thermodynamics.

Course Content:

Introduction to thermodynamics and basic principles, Thermodynamic properties, first law of thermodynamics, Entropy equation, Relationships between the second law of thermodynamics and thermodynamic properties, Carnot Cycle, Rankine Cycle, Refrigeration cycles
