Course Objectives:

This course aims to introduce major issues the planning and design of logistics systems and the operations research models used for solving these problems.

Course Content:

Main topics include logistics network design, warehouse design and operation, planning and managing long and short haul transportation systems. Particular emphasis is given to OR models that address the operational, tactical and strategic decisions in these areas and the solution methodologies employed in their solution. The course also discusses case studies that illustrate the application of these models in practice.
