Course Objectives:

This course will provide a broad coverage of ergonomics (human factors) and show how the application of ergonomics (human factors) principles can improve the design of systems involving the interaction of humans with technology.

Course Content:

Broad based introduction to ergonomic principles and their application in the design of work, equipment and the workplace. Consideration is given to musculo-skeletal disorders, manual handling, ergonomic aspects of the environment as well as to the social and legal aspects.
