Course Objectives:

This course aims to convey system layout and layout planning techniques for labor intensive production systems. The course provides a foundation for classifying production systems within this perspective.

Course Content:

Production system layout types, planning and management issues in different layouts. Planning for flow and job shops, cellular systems and classification methods, production lines, project management and resource constraints. Forecasting methods, trend models, single and multi variate regression.

Course Methodology:

1: Lecture by instructor, 2: Lecture by instructor with class discussion, 3: Problem solving by instructor
