Course Objectives:

An overview of selected special topics in advanced structural analysis. This course covers basic fundamentals of today’s computer analysis programs.

Course Content:

Matrix methods of analysis: member stiffness matrices, global stiffness matrix. Second order analysis of structures. Introduction to dynamic analysis of structures; natural frequency and mode shapes. Structural analysis of frame and shear wall systems under lateral loads.
