Course Objectives:

The goal of this course is to give information to students on engineering disciplines and branch of civil engineering.

Course Content:

Orientation and introduction. Engineering disciplines. Working field of civil engineering. History of civil engineering. Building materials and structural members. Structural loads. Technical standards. Safety. Forces in structural members. Engineering properties of structural elements. Structural members and failure types. Structural design, environment, sustainability. Construction management. Professional and ethical liability.

Course Methodology:
