Course Objectives:
To introduce semiconductor theory and electronic circuit elements, show their applications in basic circuits, teach how to use the PSpice Program to simulate given circuits, conduct experiments with them in the laboratory.
Course Content:
This course aims to introduce the students the circuit elements and basic circuits in electronics. Moreover, srudents will also be taught analysis of the electronic circuits mainly im small signal region. (i.e. Diodes, Semiconductor concepts, physical structure and terminal characteristics of pn-junction diode, ideal diode, zener diode, other diodes, analysis of diode circuits. MOSFET and BJT: Physical structure and operation regions, DC biasing, small-signal models, analysis of basic amplifier circuits, operation as a switch. Operational Amplifiers: Properties, ideal OpAmp and circuit applications, PSpice models)
