To give deep understanding about the surfaces of metallic, ceramics and polymeric materials.

Course Content:

Surface engineering concept, Principles of friction and wear, Principles of corrosion, Coating concept, Electroless and electrolytic coating, Galvanizing, Thermal spray coatings, PVD-CVD, Introduction to heat treatment, Thermo-chemical heat treatments, Surface characterization techniques
