Course Objectives:

To give detailed information on engineering design and materials selection. Design criteria, design types, mechanical design, engineering materials and properties as metals, ceramics, polymers, composites. Materials selection charts and their use. Case studies.

Course Content:

Design, mechanical design, materials , materials selection criteria, case studies, student homeworks as personal and as team projects.

Course Methodology:
