Digital Circuits Laboratory
GENERAL INFORMATION
The main purpose of the laboratory is to provide students with practical experience in the fields of logic circuits (the building blocks of digital systems) and microprocessors (the primary application area of logic circuits), complementing the students’ theoretical knowledge with hands-on application.
Besides the Logic Circuits and Microprocessors courses, which serve as introduction to digital electronics and basic computer architecture respectively, the laboratory is also used for term projects of senior year courses such as Logic Circuit Design, and Microcontrollers. With the availability of basic logic gates, microprocessors and peripheral ICs, development kits for microcontrollers, CPLDs and FPGAs, computer aided design and simulation packages, the laboratory consists a well equipped work environment for both fundamental logic experiments and advanced level projects and applications.
