Course Objectives: 
The goal of this course is to provide the student with knowledge on analyzing, planning, design and management of inland hydraulic structures.
Course Content: 

Definition and contents of water resources engineering, fluvial morphology, river regulation, use of rivers for navigation. Sediment transport in rivers. Diversion weirs. Dams, types and principles of design. Planning and design of water intake structures. Hydroelectric power plants. Energy dissipators. Flood protection. Introduction to irrigation and drainage. Management and improvement of water resources, economical analysis. Water resources systems.
