Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to help students develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts of sustainability and gain the ability to design and operate chemical processes which meet the triple bottom line of environment, economics, and society.
Course Content:
Sustainabiliy concepts. Green chemistry and process metrics. Role of chemical reaction engineering in sustainable development. Waste reduction in chemical reactors and separation processes. Life cycle analysis.
