SDSR 2025 – International Conference & Workshop on Seismic Design of Steel Structures and Retrofit for Resilient Future
Dear Academicians and Stakeholders of the Steel Construction Sector,
We would be honored to have you among us to contribute to the Workshop and Conference titled “SDSR 2025 – International Conference on Seismic Design and Retrofitting of Steel Structures – Towards a Resilient Future”, which will be organized by the Turkish Structural Steel Association (TUCSA), the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS), and Yeditepe University, and hosted by Yeditepe University in Istanbul on October 16–17, 2025. The main theme of the conference is based on the European Union’s framework on resilience and adaptation in seismic regions.
The workshop to be held on October 16 aims to discuss the preparedness of seismic zones for future expected seismic activities and the role of the steel construction sector within this context. During the conference on October 17, various topics related to the seismic design and retrofitting of steel structures will be addressed by invited speakers, academicians, researchers, and experts.
Prior to the workshop and conference to be held at Yeditepe University, Ataşehir, Istanbul, the ECCS Earthquake Committee meeting and General Assembly meetings will also take place, and the 13th European Steel Design Awards Ceremony along with the gala dinner will be open to all participants.
