Dr. Sezer Gören received her BS and MS degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, and a PhD degree in Computer Engineering from University of California, Santa Cruz, USA. She worked as a senior design verification engineer in Silicon Valley, California, USA from 1998 until 2005 at Cadence, Apple, Switch-On Networks (now PMC-Sierra), and Aarohi Communications (now Emulex); as an assistant professor in Computer Engineering Department of Bahçeşehir University until September 2010. Since October 2010, she has been with the Department of Computer Engineering at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. Her research interests include design automation of digital systems, design verification and test, reconfigurable computing, and embedded system design.
