YUCONES SUMP’25

As YUCONES, our goal is to transform the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering into individuals who are prudent, open to developments, open to the light of science, rational, environmentally friendly, contributing to the efficient use and development of the country's economy with the designs they will realize, and have engineering ethics within the framework of various activities we plan; and to impose this on every new Yeditepe University engineer and architect candidates.

In this context, we organize competitions as YUCONES. Our competition, which we organize every year, met with students again this year.

Our aim and goal in the competitions is to prepare an environment where civil engineer and architect candidates can put what they have learned in theory into practice and work together with other department students.

In this context, this year's competition "SUSTAINABLE MODULAR PROJECTS'25" is based on the re-functionalization of the urban area on the given land in accordance with the principles of sustainability and modularity, and the design of a "COMMUNITY CENTER" that allows social, cultural and social activities and adopts zero energy use.

Our competition land is a combination of the Antakya Parliament Governor Rahmi Doğan Library and the Antakya Mansion behind it in the Antakya district of Hatay, which was damaged in the February 6 earthquake disaster.
