Law-a-thon

Law-a-thon

Dear Students of the Faculty of Engineering,

ELSA (The European Law Students’ Association) is an international non-governmental organization operating in 44 countries and the world’s largest independent association of law students. Aiming to support academic and professional development, ELSA organizes events that encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.

In this context, Law-a-thon, organized by ELSA Istanbul, is a competition that brings together law and engineering students in interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions to real-life problems within the theme of sustainability. It offers especially relevant content for students of environmental engineering and industrial engineering.

During an intensive working period of approximately 36 hours, participants will have the opportunity to develop their projects with the support of mentors and present them before a jury. Throughout this process, accommodation, breakfast, and dinner will be provided by ELSA Istanbul. In addition, several webinars will be organized prior to the competition in order to help participants prepare.

The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students studying in the faculties of law and engineering in Türkiye and the TRNC.

Each team must include at least 1 law student and 1 engineering student.

Individual applications are accepted, and team matching will be carried out by us.

ELSA membership is not required.
