25th Structural Steel Day

1

The 25th Structural Steel Day will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, again at the Marriott Istanbul Asya Hotel Ballroom, according to the program that will be available on the website https://yapisalcelikgunu.org/. The 25th Structural Steel Day will address two main themes: "Earthquake Resistant Construction" and "Artificial Intelligence in Construction". In the first part, the lessons learned from the Kahramanmaraş earthquake of February 6, 2023 will be discussed and why the only way to prevent the deaths of tens of thousands of people, the collapse of 100 thousands of buildings, and economic losses of 100 billions of dollars in future earthquakes is to build earthquake-resilient structures that will not collapse in earthquakes as in Japan and the USA, as well as opinions and suggestions regarding the country's steel structures policy. In the second part, there will be an opportunity to listen to the comments of experts from Turkey and abroad on how developing technology and artificial intelligence affect the construction sector in general and architecture and engineering in particular.

To the 25th Structural Steel Day; public institutions and local governments, industry stakeholder industrialists, contractors, academicians, architects and engineers, researchers related to earthquake resilient construction are invited. Held for 25 years, this traditional event provides important opportunities for networking and promotion as well as sharing innovations in the sector.
