2020 Summer - Computational Mechanics Workshop and Camp has been successfully completed.
Around 35 hours of computational mechanics study was made in five days in the week of July 13-17. Topics ranged from the modeling of internally pressurized tubular fiber-reinforced soft tissue modeling, contractile behavior of muscles, as well as acoustic scattering in biomedical media. A warm environment of sharing, education, research, development, and collaboration has been achieved.
All participants were from the ME Department of Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey.
The host and organizer was a member of our faculty, Dr. Fethi Okyar. Students working in the field were Mete Öğüç and Volkan Karadağ (ph.D candidates), Furkan Taşdemir (masters candidate), and Ömer Büyükkaya (masters candidate).
Campers were accommodated in the Kamino Yelken camping facility, located in the gardens of Fethi Okyar mansion, Büyükada, Istanbul.
