October 16, 2020 - This year, World Food Day and the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are celebrated together. As the whole world struggles with COVID-19, the epidemic has reminded all of us how indispensable food is to humanity.
Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Office of FAO Turkey, will celebrate together the World Food Day that was held on Friday, October 16, 2020 with a digital event.
“Let's Grow, Feed; Let's Continue Together. Our actions are our future." The event, organized with the theme, will start on Friday, October 16 at 10:00.
At this important event, FAO Sub-Regional Office for Central Asia Coordinator and Representative of Turkey Viorel Gutu, Agriculture and Forestry Minister of Turkey Bekir Pakdemirli will speak. In addition to Gutu and Pakdemirli, Presidency Health and Food Policies Board Member Prof. Dr. Zümrüt Begüm Ögel and Sustainability Academy Board Chairman Murat Sungur Bursa are among the other speakers of the event.
