The Erasmus + Strategic Partnership project titled "Timeline Travel," in which our university is a partner institution, is selected as "Good Practice Example" by the European Commission.

Along with project manager Dionysis Goularas, one of our department's faculty members, Ph.D. candidate Yusuf Can Semerci and undergraduate students Onur Berk Töre and Ufuk İlke Avcı took part in the project.

The project was implemented with Erasmus+ KA203 Strategic Partnership for Higher Education grant, from September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2019. Gaziantep University was the coordinator while Yeditepe University from Turkey, University of Bologna from Italy, and the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz from Poland were the main partners. Oxford University and Reading University from the UK, Radboud University from the Netherlands, and the Czech Center for Mediterranean Archeology from the Czech Republic participated in the project as the associated partners.

This project set out with the goal of developing a digital application that will make architectural history both enjoyable and easy to learn for academics and students. This application is based on a map with a timeline (chronology), and it enables a more natural understanding of different periods and different styles in architectural history. It also makes the knowledge of architectural history more permanent while providing analyzes about existing structures, cities, and styles.
